SYR valves and water filtration

We supply SYR valves and water filtration in the UK as part of our independent multi-brand range. Hans Sasserath builds the SYR range in Korschenbroich, Germany, covering filtration, pressure regulation and backflow prevention, and we specify the fitting to the line and the protection the installation needs.

An industrial line of its own.

The industrial range runs to flange-mounted equipment: the 6247 flange-type pressure reducing valve, the 6380 flange filter as a backwash design, and backflow preventers in both flanged and in-line patterns, the BA 6600 and BA 6610. It sits alongside SYR drinking water and heating water lines.

Protecting the supply.

The three duties work together: filtration keeps particulate out of the network, backflow preventers protect a drinking water supply from what sits downstream of it, and pressure reducing valves hold a network below the pressure that damages it. Send us the line size and the inlet pressure and we’ll specify to it.

SYR products we supply

  • Backwash filters

Semi-automatic backwash filters to DIN EN 13443-1 for the incoming main, stopping the particles that cause pitting corrosion in pipework and fittings. The mesh is cleaned by a mechanical backwash while filtered supply continues, with combined filter and pressure reducing valve versions.

  • Backflow preventers

Type BA system separators protecting potable water against contamination up to and including fluid category 4 under EN 1717, using a three-chamber design with a vented middle zone. Versions for hose and tap connections on temporary and mobile supplies, and for heating system fill points.

  • Anti-legionella valves

Connect a diaphragm expansion vessel to an unvented potable hot water heater and divert part of the flow through the vessel, so the water inside is exchanged rather than left to stagnate. Sized for vessels from 8 to 24 litres, to DIN 1988, DIN 4807-5 and EN 1488.
