What certification do oil and gas instruments need?
It depends on the duty and the area: hazardous-area certification (such as ATEX), pressure ratings (such as PED) and material traceability are common requirements. We specify and document to the requirement.
What is NACE MR0175 and when does it apply?
NACE MR0175, published jointly as ISO 15156, governs the selection of materials for oil and gas production equipment exposed to environments containing hydrogen sulphide. It applies wherever the service is sour.
